Je Suis Dead
Presented by Fool’s Proof Theatre

Three lonely people have just survived a train crash and now reality is folding in on them. In this vulnerable state, their stories and unfulfilled dreams begin to overlap and connect like a twisted puzzle. In the midst of it all, the three strangers reach out to each other. Je Suis Dead, with Britt Jurgensen, Mary Pearson & Ben Phillips, is a story about the past within the present, about still being alive although already dead and being more alive whilst living.

A Touchstone adaptation of the internet sensation

Meet Billy, the unassuming alter ego of the budding super villain Dr. Horrible. His three goals: defeating his arch-nemesis (Captain Hammer), acceptance into the Evil League of Evil and working up the guts to speak to his crush (Penny). Based on the internet phenomenon by Joss Whedon, Dr. Horrible flawlessly integrates the worlds of musical theatre and comic book heroics.

The Lost Souls

A whole world contained in a closed cylinder. A little people of lost ones, endlessly searching in a fascinating dance, down to the place where consciousness and dreams struggle to be born. An English translation of Samuel Beckett’s Le dépeupleur, actor Carter Jahncke performs this mesmerizing text armed with only a host of tiny puppets. Cast of hundreds. One man.

Christmas City Follies XI

Fresh Voices

Original actor-created, ensemble-based works in progress. Touchstone hosts two apprentices for its 2010-11 season: Anne joins the company for her second year, all the way from France, and Mariel comes to us much closer to home from right here in Bethlehem. The Whitman Piece

The Whitman Piece is a masterwork, combining chorus, movement, poetry and drama to tell the story of a small ensemble theatre's struggles to create a transcendent play about Walt Whitman and the Civil War; comedy, philosophy, tragedy and insanity entwine in this song to the American spirit and the power of love.

The most magical night of theatre in the Lehigh Valley! Featuring exceptional plays written by area students, with direction and performances by the Touchstone Ensemble and community guest artists. This inspiring evening will melt your heart, tickle your funny bone and expand your imagination. The Festival is followed by an elegant gala dessert reception & live auction in the Lehigh University Art Galleries. Proceeds benefit Touchstone and our “ArtsTouch” education programs.

Ice Cream & the Classics

Summer 2010 brought Shakespeare’s The Tempest to Easton’s newly established Abbey Hill Theatre. In 2011, join us for Walden. Touchstone Co-Founder, Bill George, portrays Henry David Thoreau in a 90-minute, one-man show telling the story of Thoreau’s retreat to the woods to understand the full meaning of life. Take a break and listen to this pivotal American sage whose insights still resonate 150 years later.
