Performed at The Ice House The Whitman Piece is a masterwork, combining chorus, movement, poetry and drama to tell the story of a small ensemble theatre's struggles to create a transcendent play about Walt Whitman and the Civil War; comedy, philosophy, tragedy and insanity entwine in this song to the American spirit and the power of love.
