An interactive and immersive evening journey through the Bethlehem Rose Garden. Explore what it means to grow and nurture community as the park is brought to life through the magic of performance, music, poetry, dance, lighting, and more. Adventure through 8 stations set up throughout the park each representing a different location that fosters community: a coffee shop, a bar, a library, etc. You will be free to wander between these locations for the first hour and a half of the event and then we will group together for the last 30 minutes for a short performance and parade through the park. And stay after the event for a chance to do some stargazing and enjoy a natural light parade!

  • Front Porch – CAMILLE WHO? – The Percussionist, that’s who!  Bop your head, sway, sing, or dance to drum rhythms.  Learn to make your own rhythms, and join in on a jam on the porch! As part of yet another Touchstone Theatre’s Festival Unbound, CAMILLE WHO? joins this year’s fun at the Bethlehem Rose Garden with an interactive experience, taking the audience and passers-by on a journey and discovery of rhythm and percussion.  She’ll be joined by Spoken-Word Artist and Educator Deirdre Van Walters, sometimes melding the two art forms to make an even more wholesome, interactive creative experience. This will be done front-porch style, creating a welcoming, neighborly setting for any and all to join in.
  • Bar – relax and connect with the other attendees. Get to know your neighbors as our bartender dishes out some delightful trivia questions and conversation starters. Not old enough to drink (or enjoy trivia)? Enjoy some family friendly games such as Jenga and Connect4! NOTE: No actual alcohol will be served, but we’ll all have fun using our imaginations 🙂
  • Sports – enjoy the feeling of being a star athlete as you compete against others in a foosball tournament. Not into foosball? Stop on by and decorate a pennant to cheer on one of our teams. Or else just grab a football and frisbee and play some catch.
  • Kitchen – sample some delicious foods and share some favorite recipes and cooking tips. Sing along to some silly songs about food from around the world, as you ponder just what is it about kitchens that makes them so inviting?
  • School – release your inner child and get your arts and crafts on in this comfy and cozy corner of the Rose Garden. A great spot to just chill, play with some toys, and feel young again.
  • Coffee Shop – Check out Touchstone Theatre’s Festival Unbound Coffee Shop experience and enjoy D. Unique’s poetic F.A.C.T.– Fall Accessibility Community Treats. A jazzy, call & response night of poetry, song, music, and warm cups of coffee await ALL  guests in the Rose Garden. We look forward to connecting with you soon!
  • Sacred Space – Engage in thoughtful discussion around the questions: “Where can you find community?” and “What draws people together in sacred space?“ Draw a picture, or symbol about, “What Peace means to you.” And join us at 7pm for an 8-minute performance featuring music and recorded readings of quotes from different faiths and traditions.
  • Library – Did you know libraries are a FREE service for Everyone? And Libraries are so much more than books! Join us to learn about libraries as vibrant community hubs! Book Giveaways! Interactive Storytelling!  If you wish, bring your own books to exchange too!
  • The Arts/Finale – a celebration of the light that the arts bring to our community. Enjoy a short performance from Single Shoe Productions, and then sing and dance along to our dazzling light parade!

In the middle of the image we see a band playing brass instruments and just belting their hearts out. In the background we can see a couple of leafy green trees and a cloudy, dusky sky.]
