UnBound Year-Round: America Dreams
Written by: Kiyaana Cox Jones
SATURDAY, APRIL 18 & SUNDAY, APRIL 19, 2026 - An interactive, theatrical carnival adventure, where each attraction takes you deeper into America's dreams.
The Bethlehem Rose Garden
Promise Land, a mysterious carnival, has just arrived in town, proclaiming that it has the ability to take you inside of America’s dreams. Join us for a theatrical adventure set at an aging, Dust Bowl-era carnival. You and fellow attendees will be able to travel through interactive exhibits, like a fortune teller’s séance room, an inventor’s showcase, and even take your own classic American road trip! However, everything may not be as it seems, so keep your eyes open and your head down. And, perhaps, if you are lucky, you might just find the answer you are looking for, but will you want to hear it?
WHAT TO EXPECT
Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather! Chairs will be provided for those who need them, however several sections of the piece will involve standing or walking from location to location.

[Image description: A giant elephant puppet stands in the middle of a stage. It is decked out in red, white, and blue, and covered in stars and stripes. A performer sits on top of the elephant, they wear all white and are flying an American flag over their head. In front of the elephant are two performers, both wearing outfits reminiscent of what Union soldiers wore during the Civil War. The performer on the left also waves an American flag, however this one is almost as big as their body. The performer on the right strikes a theatrical pose. Their left hand held up high holding a black top hat, their right hand at a dramatic angle away from their body. Their white hair and goatee, combined with their “America” themed outfit gives the impression that this might just be Uncle Sam.]
