Still Here is a community-based performance created by Touchstone Theatre/Moravian University MFA student Anisa Hosseini. It features a collection of stories told by people who have lost someone significant in their lives. This verbatim piece (meaning all of the lines in the performance come directly from stories gathered from the community) attempts to answer the question: In what ways do those we’ve lost live on? Through the signs and symbols that remind us of them? Through their appearances in our dreams? Or is it possible that they have vanished altogether? At the very least, could these stories, the ones we continue to tell and cherish, be proof of their enduring presence?

WHAT TO EXPECT

This performance will include a portion in which audience members will have the opportunity to write about a favorite memory of a loved one they have lost, should they choose to participate.

CONTENT WARNING: Still Here contains real-life stories shared by individuals who have experienced the loss of someone close to them. The performance explores themes of grief, death, and remembrance, and may evoke strong emotions for audience members who have experienced a similar loss.

PARKING/TRANSPORTATION: There is a small parking lot directly behind Touchstone Theatre that will be available for you to park in. If that is full, there is nearby street or lot parking (here is a link to Bethlehem parking options). Recommended options include: 1) Mechanic Street Parking Lot between Webster & Taylor Streets and Mechanic Street and the Greenway 3 min walk or 2) the Polk St. Garage (400 Block E. 3rd St.) 3 min walk. Additionally, there is a bike rack next to our theatre in Parham Park. We are adjacent to the South Bethlehem Greenway bike path/pedestrian trail, as well as five LANTA routes: GREEN, BLUE, 103, 105, and 605.
