Come celebrate and dance with us at this family-friendly music-centered event with interactive art making, where you get to participate in as much or little as you want to! The “house band” will be the upbeat Latin folk group Herencia Jibera, led by Daniel Class and featuring traditional music from Puerto Rico and more. Want to join in? Feel free to bring your own instruments and get up on stage with the band, or sing/play along from your seats! (Community groups and individuals who want to add to the festivities with their own offering can contact Touchstone to make arrangements.) Music, poetry, and story-telling are also welcome! Young singer-songwriter Safiya Hernandez – an up-and-coming star to watch – will also play a set of original music. While you enjoy the live music on our Barrio Stage, participate in a creative, interactive art-making activity that is fun for the whole family!
