Come enjoy a no-experience-necessary, theatrical jazz-inspired game/interactive audience experience! Developed over the past six months through a series of workshops created by Touchstone MFA candidate Ms. Latrice Young, these two performances serve as both a sharing of what the participants created during the workshops, as well as an opportunity for the audience to play along in their own way. Under the guidance of Ms. Latrice’s facilitation, attendees are encouraged to creatively express themselves and are invited to share live feedback about what they enjoy and/or appreciate throughout the game.

Created by Touchstone Theatre/Moravian University MFA student Ms. Latrice Young/Distinctly Unique

WHAT TO EXPECT

This performance is largely dependent on audience instruction and participation. Game instructions will be handed to you when you arrive, and the rules of the game will be thoroughly explained. Expect mistakes, laughter, and authentic reactions. Mostly importantly: HAVE FUN!

REGISTRATION: Due to the nature of Ms. Latrice’s thesis project, she is asking that everyone who attends the event fill out the pre-registration survey. This is to collect necessary data that she will use exclusively for her written thesis.

RUN TIME: 80 minutes.

POST-PERFORMANCE: After the performance/sharing, audience and participants are invited to provide short reviews via audio and video about their experience with the games and the individual or collective narratives that were expressed.

CONTENT WARNING: This is a family-friendly event, however themes around identity and what bothers or upsets participants will be expressed. Parental guidance is suggested for children under 13. If you would like any more information, please contact latrice@touchstone.org.

PARKING/TRANSPORTATION: There is a small parking lot directly behind Touchstone Theatre that will be available for you to park in. If that is full, there is nearby street or lot parking (here s a link to Bethlehem parking options). Recommended options include: 1) Mechanic Street Parking Lot between Webster & Taylor Streets and Mechanic Street and the Greenway 3 min walk or 2) the Polk St. Garage (400 Block E. 3rd St.) 3 min walk. Additionally, there is a bike rack next to our theatre in Parham Park. We are adjacent to the South Bethlehem Greenway bike path/pedestrian trail, as well as five LANTA routes GREEN, BLUE, 103, 105, and 605.

ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION: Accessible restrooms are available inside Touchstone Theatre. Accessible seating is available; please contact Touchstone Theatre via phone at (610) 867-1689 or via email at touchstone@touchstone.org to reserve accessible seating in advance or inquire about accessible parking.
