I Remember This Spot: Launch Party

SPRING 2027 - A backyard block party to celebrate the launch of Touchstone's new I Remember This Spot app.

Touchstone Theatre will officially launch its I Remember This Spot App in Spring 2027, at a block-party style celebration in the theater’s own backyard. With music and food from local vendors, we invite the community to come together and cheer to the beauty and power that is the Southside.

Then, once the party is over, simply download the app, select the neighborhood you’d like to explore, and head out to experience Bethlehem as you’ve never heard it before! As you move through the streets, stories connected to the places around you will play automatically based on your GPS location. Turn down one street, and you’ll hear one memory; turn another corner and a different story begins. Explore the neighborhood in a whole new way as the voices and memories of our community bring each place to life.

Want to contribute a story for the app? Click here to learn about our Story Gathering events, or click here to submit your memory.

I Remember This Spot received funding from Pennsylvania Creative Industries, powered by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts.

[Image description: Closest to us, in the image, are two female-presenting figures dancing at an outdoor block party. The figure on the left has shoulder-length, straight, dark hair, and wears a long sleeve black shirt, puffy grey vest, and colorful glasses. She is turned to the right so we only see her in profile. The figure on the right is facing the other figure, but with her body turned toward the camera. She has long curly dark brown hair and wears a yellow shirt with flowers, jeans, and a nose ring. She has her arms outstretched, one toward the sky, the other toward the ground, mouth open in the middle of singing along to an unheard song. Behind the two of them, we see at least a dozen other people all dancing and enjoying themselves at this party. They are all dancing in what looks like a parking lot surrounded by a bunch of tall leafy trees.] Photo by VillaNovak Creative.
