As part of our I Remember This Spot multi-year initiative, we are curating a collection of deeply personal moments connected to real places and are currently looking for stories about the Southside of Bethlehem. 

Some memories are life-changing. Others are wonderfully ordinary: Walking home from school; Waiting outside a movie theater; Buying bread at the neighborhood bakery; Sledding down the middle of a snow-covered city street. We want them all! Any stories of favorite haunts or specific places you remember well will be cherished and appreciated.

What does this look like? Well, you could: contribute a memory, record an oral history, share photographs, help identify meaningful places, attend a community story-mapping event, or simply explore the growing collection and discover Bethlehem through someone else’s eyes. 

We will be collecting stories throughout the year at:

• Storycircles
• Community events – Like NMIH’s Steel Weekend October 10 & 11
• Our Winter Story Cabaret where the theme is “I Remember This Spot”
• One-on-ones
